China Petrochemical Shanghai two gas stations sell biodiesel.
The launching ceremony of biodiesel (B5) made from kitchen waste oil in China Petrochemical Gas Station was recently held in Zhuanghang Gas Station, Fengxian District, Shanghai.
Xu Kunlin, deputy mayor of Shanghai, said that the start-up of the pilot project of adding kitchen waste oil to biodiesel B5 at Sinopec gas station is of great significance, which indicates that the "last mile" of resource utilization of kitchen waste oil in this city is about to get through. He demanded that all relevant units continue to deepen the pilot work, oil supply enterprises should ensure the quality of oil products, and relevant government departments should further strengthen the division of labor and cooperation, actively serve enterprises, and lay a solid foundation for the promotion of the whole city next year.
Zuo Xingkai, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Petrochemical Shanghai Petroleum Company, said that the "normalization" of biodiesel applied to vehicles can not only eliminate the safety risk of waste oil returning to the dining table, but also help to reduce urban pollution, which is a major event benefiting the country and the people. Shanghai Petroleum has a great responsibility and a glorious mission to get this pilot promotion opportunity, and will do its best to do this low-carbon environmental protection project.
At present, Shanghai Petroleum has chosen two gas stations as pilot stations to fill biodiesel for the city’s transportation system and vehicles in specific industries. After a period of operation, it will be evaluated and then gradually opened to social vehicles. During the pilot period, the retail price of B5 biodiesel is 95% lower than that of vehicle diesel, with a discount of 0.30 yuan/liter, which encourages more social vehicles to use biodiesel.
It is reported that Shanghai has made it clear that the kitchen waste oil collected by the whole city will be given priority to the bus pilot project. As long as conditions permit, about 30,000 to 40,000 tons of kitchen waste oil produced in Shanghai can be transported to designated units to produce biodiesel. In addition, Shanghai promulgated the Emergency Support Measures for the Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Biodiesel Made from Waste Kitchen Oils, which requires that in case of market failure, the relevant disposal enterprises should be subsidized to ensure their normal operation.
